Terry Vangelos is a long-time resident of the New River Valley. He graduated from Christiansburg High School in 1991 and then immediately started a military career that spanned 24 years. He served 10 years in the United States Navy and 14 years in the United States Army. Terry lives in Christiansburg with his wife, an elementary teacher and librarian, and stepson, who is soon to graduate from Christiansburg High School. His daughter is a Virginia Tech graduate and busy in the field of dietetics, nutrition and fitness.

In 2013, Terry obtained his Real Estate license and started a new career, while finishing his last year of military service and obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from Liberty University. He has held a Broker’s license since 2016, and is on the MLS for the New River Valley and Roanoke regions. Terry has served on the NRV Board for Habitat for Humanity and is currently on the Board of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce as a member at large. Additionally, he has served on the New River Valley Real Estate Board.

In 2018 he decided to expand his real estate business and formed his own property management company, VIP Rental Properties. For the first few years he managed a few client and family properties. In 2022 he made the decision to expand this part of the business. The company quickly grew to over 130 properties managed throughout the New River Valley. This allowed Terry to complete his dream and officially open VIP Real Estate and Rental Properties in 2023, which is located right in the center of town in Christiansburg.
